Recipes with Tahini

A Spoonful of Health (for your immunity system)

  • 250 g Alvasari tahini
  • 600 g honey
  • 100 g cranberries
  • 50 g hazelnut
  • 50 g almond
  • 50 g walnut
Put all the ingredients in a jar or some other container and stir them up really well.
Take one tablespoon, 3 times a day.
This is an easy way to keep your immune system strong.

Hummus – side dish

  • 200 g chickpeas
  • 4 tablespoons Alvasari tahini
  • 2 – 3 cloves of garlic
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • Olive oil
  • Ground cumin
  • Ground paprika
Put chickpeas in the water and leave them overnight. The next day, boil them in salted water for approximately 30 minutes.
Then, put them in a blender and add tahini, garlic, salt and lemon juice.
Pour the mix onto a plate, sprinkle it with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and garnish it with ground cumin and paprika or as pictured below. It is served as a side dish for a barbecue.

Tahini Sauce

SOS OD TAHINIJA
  • 50 g Alvasari tahini
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Lemon juice
Garnish according to taste with parsley, ground paprika, olive oil, etc.
Stir tahini with hand mixer and add water. Add salt and lemon juice according to taste. If used in salads or appetizers, add 2 or 3 cloves of garlic.

Meatballs in Tahini Sauce:

  • Meatballs
  • Alvasari tahini sauce
  • Rice or potatoes
Make classic meatballs. Place them in a pan and pour the tahini sauce on top.
Bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
You can serve it with rice or potatoes.

Fish in Tahini Sauce

  • Fish, any kind, whole or filets
  • Salt
  • Tahini sauce
  • Almonds
Roll the fillets or thee whole fish in the flour and fry them in boiling oil. Then put them in a pan and pour the tahini sauce on top.
Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
As a side dish, you can serve rice.  Decorate with almonds and lemon rings, as pictured below.

Beetroot with Tahini

  • 1 kg beetroot
  • 200 g Alvasari tahini
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
  • Salt
  • Garlic
First, cook the beetroot in salted water. After it cools, peel it and cut into smaller rings or cubes. Sprinkle it with salt, pour the tahini sauce and garnish it with parsley.
You can serve it as a salad or a side dish to barbecue and other kinds of meat.

Potato with Tahini

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 1 cup Alvasari tahini
  • Salt
  • Lemon juice
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • Parsley
Cook the potatoes in salted water, like you would for mash potato. Then add other ingredients and top it off with tahini sauce.  Garnish it with parsley.
To be served as a side dish for various kinds of meat and barbecue.

Marrow Squash with Tahini

  • 1 kg marrow squash
  • 1 cup butter/sour milk
  • Alvasari tahini sauce
  • Olive oil
Clean the squash and cook it. Then cut them into rings or mash them.
Add the butter milk and tahini.
Put the blend into a deeper bowl and sprinkle it with olive oil.  Decorate with parsley.
You can also make this with eggplant, but you have to bake or fry it instead.
